The Department of Stomatology of the Affiliated Hospital of Jining Medical College is a key clinical specialty in Shandong Province. It has five specialties: Orthodontics, Internal Medicine, Oral Implantation, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and Oral Restoration. It has a skilled, high-quality, and high-level medical service team. There are 50 doctors, including 5 chief doctors, 20 deputy chief doctors, and 36 graduate students. The outpatient department has advanced equipment, including 90 imported digital computer-controlled dental comprehensive treatment tables, NewTom dental CT, German Zeiss dental surgical microscope, German VECTOR painless periodontal treatment device, American Beyond cold light whitening device, German Sino CEREC chairside immediate restoration system and other medical equipment. In recent years, the department has developed new technologies such as various dental and jaw deformity correction for children, adolescents and adults, micro-implantation support technology, secondary treatment after orthodontics, micro-ultrasonic root canal therapy, painless periodontal therapy, tooth whitening, implant maxillary sinus lift, all-ceramic veneer, magnetic attachment restoration, and digital restoration. The ward has 21 beds and is a designated hospital for the international "Smile Train" project. The department has undertaken and completed 15 projects funded by the Natural Science Foundation of Shandong Province, the Health Department of Shandong Province, the Department of Human Resources and Social Security, and the Jining Science and Technology Bureau, and has won many Jining Science and Technology Progress Awards; it undertakes theoretical teaching and practical teaching of the School of Stomatology of Jining Medical College, as well as theoretical teaching, clinical internship and internship teaching of clinical medicine and nursing majors, as well as English teaching and clinical internship teaching for international students from Nepal, India, Pakistan, etc. It is a national standardized training base for resident doctors in general stomatology, oral medicine and maxillofacial surgery.
