Coinciding with the 11th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative, the forum was jointly organized by the Macao Translational Medicine Center and the Macao University of Science and Technology Foundation, with support from the Macao Special Administrative Region Investment Promotion Bureau. The globally renowned academic publisher Springer Nature served as a co-organizer, providing strong support for the event.
The forum brought together leading experts, entrepreneurs, and investors in translational medicine and greater health from around the world. Professor Yunfeng Lin participated in discussions on the latest advancements in the field and facilitated the translation of research into practical applications. During the event, he was appointed as a Distinguished Expert by the Macao Translational Medicine Center, with an official signing ceremony held on-site.
Currently, global basic medical research is advancing rapidly, yet the translation of laboratory discoveries into clinical applications faces significant challenges. Despite the exponential growth in research output, only a few breakthroughs successfully transition into therapies that improve human health. The success of translational medicine relies not only on close collaboration among researchers, healthcare professionals, and industry partners but also on cross-border cooperation to break down information barriers and accelerate innovation.
