Yunhai Biotechnology and Sichuan University Establish Joint Laboratory for Tetrahedral Framework Nucleic Acid Technology

On May 20, 2024, Yunhai Biotechnology and Sichuan University formally signed the "Agreement for the Joint Construction of the Sichuan University-Yunhai Biotechnology Tetrahedral Framework Nucleic Acid Technology Research Laboratory." This collaboration marks a significant step forward for both parties in the field of tetrahedral framework nucleic acid technology research.

Sichuan University is a prestigious institution in Western China, renowned for its outstanding academic research and education quality. The university has internationally leading research achievements in fields such as biomedicine and materials science. The State Key Laboratory of Oral Diseases at Sichuan University originated from the Medical and Dental Research Laboratory established in 1936 at West China Union University. It was approved as the Oral Medicine Research Institute in 1958, established as the Oral Medicine Center Laboratory in 1983, and designated as a Ministry of Health Key Laboratory in 1989. In 2002, it was approved as a key laboratory by the Ministry of Education and Sichuan Province, and in 2007, the Ministry of Science and Technology approved it as the State Key Laboratory of Oral Disease Research, the only national key laboratory in China’s oral medicine field. In 2023, the laboratory was restructured and approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology as the National Key Laboratory for Oral Disease Prevention and Treatment.

The collaboration between Yunhai Biotechnology and Sichuan University signifies the beginning of in-depth research cooperation in tetrahedral framework nucleic acid technology, aiming to explore new frontiers in biotechnology and contribute significantly to human health.
