6th Health and Wellness Innovation and Translation Academic Exchange: High-Quality Tetrahedral Framework Nucleic Acid Projects Draw Attention

On September 5-6, the 6th Health and Wellness Innovation and Translation Academic Exchange was successfully held at the Hangzhou International Expo Center. Themed “Convergence of Energy, Synergy, and Momentum,” the event focused on the full chain of technology transfer, promoting deep integration across medical administration, industry, academia, and research, while exploring high-quality development paths for the life and health industry. The event aims to create a high ground for life and health science and technology innovation.

During the conference, a special exhibition showcasing "Landmark Innovations in Life and Health" was set up, featuring cutting-edge technological achievements in life and health from institutions affiliated with the Chinese Academy of Sciences, research-oriented hospitals, and members of the Provincial Translational High-Quality Alliance.

At this event, Sichuan Province presented high-quality projects from the West China School of Stomatology at Sichuan University, participating in live presentations. Professor Tian Taoran from the Sichuan University-Yunhai Bio Joint Laboratory delivered a project presentation titled “Construction of Tetrahedral Framework Nucleic Acid Drug Systems and Disease Treatment.” Professor Tian's presentation was highly recognized by the attending experts, who remarked that tetrahedral framework nucleic acids possess significant original innovation and hold great potential value in the market.

Tian Taoran, a state-sponsored joint Ph.D. trainee at Yale University, is an associate professor at West China Hospital of Stomatology, a scientist at the Sichuan University-Yunhai Bio Joint Laboratory, a master's supervisor, and the deputy director of the Sichuan Provincial Engineering Research Center for Oral Biomaterials. He has been selected as a young and middle-aged key talent in the "Health and Wellness Talent Plan" of Sichuan Province and has received the Youth Science and Technology Award from the Chinese Medical Science and Technology Award. He also serves as a young committee member of the Sichuan Medical Association's Stomatology Committee. He has led and participated in several national-level research projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the National Key R&D Program. As the first and corresponding author, he has published 16 SCI papers in journals such as Nature Protocols and Advanced Materials, with an h-index of 36. He has also contributed to several books.

As a leading force in the life and health science and technology field, Yunhai Bio demonstrated its strong momentum in scientific research translation and industrial development through its research and development of nucleic acid drug systems.
